Good, clean, well lit rooms where you feel very at home. We stayed for a few weeks so we got a chance to experience the good and the bad from the room, and it was an overwhelmingly good experience. The breakfast buffet is simple but filling and there's also a bar at the lobby, from which to order coffee and drinks later in the day. The location is absolutely unbeatable. It has extremely easy access to the major bus lines, taxi and Uber to move around the eastern side of the city, and is within walking distance of Plaza Independencia and la Ciudadela, as well as la Rambla. Above all, I loved the warm, personalized service the staff provided. This is not a large, branded hotel (it in fact felt more like a family operation), but its staff evidently take pride in the quality of their service. They were quick to offer information and assistance whenever we required it, but were very respectful and careful not to be intrusive.

The location is great: it is very close to the Plaza Independencia and there are lots of good bars and cafes nearby. The hotel has a rooftop terrace and a gym.

She had a great sense of humor, was warm, attentive and gracious. The location of the hotel was good. The Plaza de Armas was a few blocks away. I stayed 1 night, and it was comfortable enough. Breakfast was good as well.

Boasting an indoor swimming pool, this hotel offers a rooftop terrace with views of Montevideo just a 20-minute walk from Pocitos Beach. Massage sessions can be booked. Good service at front desk! They help to return my lost Luggage from the airport!

In the heart of downtown Montevideo, 1 block from the buzz of 18 de Julio Avenue, Oxford Hotel boasts an ample lobby with stylish furniture and marble floors. Wi-Fi is free. The room was ok and the personel was kind. The location is pretty good. Good price-quality.

Really nice hotel room, clean and well-equipped. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was good, and the location is at the main avenue in Montevideo.
